Inside the club house

There’s everything you need at The Victoria Bowling Club to enjoy playing a very sociable game of bowls.

The club has a six-rink bowls green, probably one of the best in Norfolk, looked after and maintained by a professional green keeper.

The clubhouse has a licensed bar, locker room for storing bowls and shoes, and a long dining table which enables members to enjoy each other’s company over tea and biscuits (or something a little stronger), fish and chip suppers or the occasional members’ lunch and/or dinner and an annual Strawberry Tea held in mid to late July.

There is a separate thatched roof pavilion housing a small library of books available for members to borrow, and is used by the president and deputy to “select” their teams for the matches, allowing for a balance of experience and handicaps, on Tuesdays and Fridays

The long history of the club is reflected in the photographs and memorabilia contained within the club buildings.

Car parking is provided on-site. The bowling green has seating areas on all sides, and is attractively bordered by trees, hedges and beds planted with shrubs and flowers.
