There's always something exciting going on at The Victoria Bowling Club.
Casual Play
Casual play is usually over 8 ends with 4 or 6 players having 3 woods each.
When a game finishes anyone waiting for a game has precedence over those who have just played.
Structured Play
Members put their names down in advance, teams are organised and play is usually over 18 ends. Once per month a structured event is followed by fish and chips in the clubhouse.
Competitions
There are 7 one-day competitions throughout the season, each held on either a Monday or a Wednesday.
There are also 3 season-long knockout competitions with members agreeing convenient times to play their matches.
Winners and runners up receive coasters as "keep sakes" in addition to the winners holding the respective trophy until the next season's competition.
Additional Social Events
Occasionally a members' dinner in the clubhouse and an annual lunch are provided as an opportunity to get together on a slightly more formal basis.
A partner/guest lunch is arranged, in the autumn after the green closes for the season, for partners and guests to meet with members and share in the enjoyment of the club.
We also have some off-season events: four morning games of indoor bowls at the Norfolk Bowlng Club over the winter followed by lunch
