On Saturday 22nd June we held our second Open Day of the year.
The weather was kind to us and whilst not sunny, the temperature was warm enough for shorts. In fact, a brief downpour worked in our favour as everybody rushed inside and the bar was inundated with orders.
We had approximately 35 visitors, some of whom just wanted to watch and others who gave Lawn Bowls a try for the first time. There was a great atmosphere at the Club and the day ran smoothly. We picked up three new Playing Members and this may transpire into another couple as well.
The cakes and snacks provided by our members were as good as ever
A massive thank you to all of the volunteers who delivered leaflets, baked cakes and sausage rolls and helped on the Green and in the bar on the day, we couldn’t have done this without you.
