To celebrate the ending of the outdoor season members and guests met for lunch at the Wensum Valley Golf Course
As is tradition, members and guests meet to enjoy lunch followed by the presentation of two prizes.
Another important feature of the event is raising extra money for the President’s chosen charity – in the form of a tombola
The screen image on the table is not a tombola prize but in fact a tablet showing some of the images from this season’s play
After lunch the President got down to the serious business of presenting the prize for the most points accumulated in the season long ‘President v Deputy President’ competition
Much as he might have liked to have won the prize himself, the President did the honours and gave his deputy have the job of keeping the Trophy (a silver cigarette box) clean!
The second prize of the day (The Eric Gross Trophy) was awarded to the person who the senior management team felt had given great service to the club during the year
Another role – proposing a ‘toast’ to the green
And finally thanks are given for the toast to the green – the gentleman in the foreground is merely resting his eyes!
